Well, today (September 2/12) is the day that I have decided to start a pantry challenge and see what food creations I managed to create. Some sales have been great this year and I have bought so much, and have a VERY healthy stock pile.
The kids are back to school on Tuesday and I have a few extra days off to make great use of them.
A little history about me and my kids. 2 Teens and a single and working mom, about sums it all up. :)
I have been thinking about starting a blog and am now taking the plunge. I have a few plans in mind for other frugal ways of cutting back and managing with less. Not because we have less, but if it happens that we do end up having less, I do not want to have to suddenly struggle.
I love to do so many frugal things such as assorted crafts, cooking, gardening and spending precious and quality time with my kids, who are my world.
Will keep you all posted on what I try with this current challenge and aim to participate in monthly challenges in the near future.
Today I started my challenge before even accepting the group challenge with another blogger a stumbled upon, (actually pinterest was where I found this site).
Today the dinner meal was Homemade and from Scratch "Chicken Noodle soup" and I also made my very own concocted recipe "Chicken Heart Stew". I made both with homemade chicken stock. My daughter does not like the "Chicken Hear Stew" so much and that is why I made the "Chicken Noodle Soup". Although with the star noodles I used (from pantry) made the soup into more of a paste casserole done on stove top. The noodles absorbed ALL the stock.
Stay tuned for future blogs from me.
Have a wonderful night.
